IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

1932 saw the Maroon in the last year of Coach Stagg and the first year of Jay Berwanger, who by his senior year was to become the first winner of the Heisman Trophy, even though at the time it carried the more prosaic title of "best football player east of the Mississippi." The Hyde Park eleven's first four games saw three wins and a tie, but beginning with this tight affair with the Illini it went quickly downhill, as nothing but nationally ranked teams lay ahead on the schedule. At this point we want to tell Chicago fans to check back in mid-July, by which time we should have a beautiful cover depicting Stagg Field and its surrounding buildings. Hopefully we'll acquire a license to sell these rare and beautiful Maroon images before the year is out, but in the meantime enjoy the free view.
