IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

Never mind the game score. This was one of three great John Held Jr. covers that he drew for Yale between 1927 and 1929 (he also worked the 1927 Princeton and 1929 Army games, both of which are also available here). Held was the creator of the then-famous Flapper Girl, and was perhaps the most representative illustrator of what was known as the Jazz Age. Parody maps were among his many specialties, and this one was characteristically sublime.
