IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

Notre Dame's following became so great following their rise as the first "national" team that the stadium capacities of many teams were far too small to accommodate the expected crowds. As a result, oftentimes games were scheduled for much larger stadiums in big cities, sometimes hundreds of miles away from either campus. The last time we looked, neither State College nor South Bend were particularly close to Philadelphia, but in 1928 neither State College nor South Bend had stadiums seating over 60,000, as did Philadelphia's Franklin Field.
