IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

By a coincidence of the calendar, the school named after Sir Francis Drake (heroically depicted on the cover by Frederick Machetanz) arrived in a college town named after Christopher Columbus, and on Columbus Day, no less. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, the contest involved football, not exploring, and in spite of a gallant effort (we had to say that), the final tally looks like it involved about a dozen touchdowns for the Buckeyes, with an added extra point thrown in as a tribute to the Football God pictured in that NYU program the following year. Curiously, the two teams were never to meet again.
