IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

After reigning as one of the great football powers of the early part of the century, Chicago began gradually to de-emphasize the sport, and by this time the end was more or less near. And after the 1939 season, which saw the Buckeyes torture the Maroons by a count of 61 to 0, Chicago's President Robert M. Hutchins pulled the plug, telling his students to concentrate on the Great Books instead. It was probably a wise choice.
