IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

When Frank Leahy's Irish opened its 1953 season with a one touchdown win over Oklahoma, nothing seemed so unusual about it. After all, Notre Dame had beaten the Sooners in the last month of the previous season by a virtually identical score. But as it turned out, beating that Oklahoma team was no common feat. Bud Wilkinson's squad was tied by Pittsburgh the next week, but then went on a tear which didn't end until they had won 47 straight games---a record which still stands. And who finally ended that streak? Three guesses---and we have that game, too.
