IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

This is the program cover for the game which never was played. Like nearly all Division I games scheduled on the day after the Kennedy assassination, Notre Dame's bi-annual visit to Iowa City was called off while the nation mourned its martyred president. And since there were no remaining open dates on the calendar, there was no re-scheduling of the game. Nearly all copies of the program itself were quickly destroyed by the Iowa Athletic Department---none were ever sold to the public---and originals are among the scarcest artifacts in Irish gridiron history.
