The Vols were unbeaten, ranked #1, and primed for a feast of Terrapin Stew, but the only thing they took out of New Orleans that day was a big bowl of Whooping. The Terps took control of the game from the outset, and by the time the Sun had set there were lots of people who thought that the best team in the land was about to be getting on that train back to College Park. Along with the day the Terps took down that 2002 NCAA basketball title, this was the greatest moment in UM's sports history.
