The Wildcats moved their final game of the season to Soldier Field, and made it a charity game for unemployment relief. This was in the middle of the Depression, and a third of the country was unemployed. But in this case charity wasn't reciprocated by the Boilermakers, and their single touchdown put the kibosh in what was up to then an unbeaten Wildcat season.
