Always ranked among the most significant games of all time, as with the national spotlight focused on Pasadena, the Indians displayed the might of Pop Warner's newfangled T-formation and made their case for a National Championship in convincing fashion over a fine Nebraska team. A few weeks earlier, George Halas's Chicago Bears had given an even better display of what the T could do, beating the Washington Redskins in the NFL Championship Game by the still-record score 73 to 0.
