IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

The old Washington Evening Star cartoonists, Jim Berryman and Gib Crockett, for many decades contributed some of the best program covers for the Academy. Two of Berryman's best examples are the airplane covers he made for the 1929 Notre Dame and 1937 Virginia games. But to us this is Crockett's best: the suspicious Navy goat and the impish Duke Blue Devil, complete with his pouch of "Duke's Mixture" cigarette tobacco, an actual brand that was a longtime favorite of "roll your own" smokers.
