Led by quarterback Harry Agganis, AKA "The Golden Greek," the Terriers posted a fine 6 and 2 mark in 1949, outscoring their opponents by an average of 31 to 14. But the Maryland Terps were fast becoming one of the nation's leading teams, and truth be told, it was a bit of an upset to hold them to such a squeaker.
